Different Portrait Poses - Page 38



Once again I decided to try something different. Here I have some pictures of Caprice sitting on the platform I built and in previous pictures was a lighter color. I have been wanting to darken it, but went to far with the stain I picked out. Black Walnut really is as dark as the color sample shows. Since it's real easy to change the boards I decided to give it a try and see how it photographs. Although the picture doesn't show it as dark as it really is, it's still darker than I like, so I will be getting new boards and trying a different color, something more brown. I also picked up a couple of wall panels to use as a background. I screwed 3 1x2 studs on the back of each to keep them ridgid. I then tied them to my background stand to hold them up.



This picture of Caprice is still with the main light being my 60" umbrella to the right of the camera and the diffusion panel to camera left being used to provide fill light. There is also kicker light to camera right and just behind Caprice.

 







The lighting for this and the others are the same as with the white background.
